Arthur A. Crannell of Larchwood Dead
At the home of his father , Mr. George Crannell, Tekamah NE, Arthur A. Crannell died very suddenly of heart attack last Friday afternoon. The announcement of death was a great shock to his family and friends.

A few days before his death, while at his home at Larchwood, Mr. Crannell received a message this his mother was seriously ill and to come at once to her bedside if he was able. Although he had been ailing for some time he started at once for Tekamah and in less than twenty hours after his arrival there he answered the final summons, and passed on to his reward. The remains were shipped o the home of Mrs. Crannell’s mother, Mrs. Ann Quinlan at Rock Valley.

Mr. Crannell was born in Tekamah, Nebraska. Oct. 31, 1869, and for the past thirty-five years had been a resident of Lyon county. For four years he managed the Milwaukee Cleaning house at Doon. When it burned he had charge of the one at Lester, Later working for elevator company at both Lester and Alvord. For eight years he owned and operated a dray line at Larchwood until three years ago when his health broke down.

On Nov 26, 1903 he was married to Miss Belle Quinlan. One son, George, was born to them. Mr. Crannell was a man of very cheerful disposition, kind and considerate of others, and will be greatly missed by his family and a host of friends. At one time he was mayor at Alvord and he served as Marshall at both Lester and Larchwood.

The funeral was held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Rock Valley on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. Father S. P. Roth of Larch wood conducting the services. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery besides his wife and son, he leaves an aged father and two brothers, Frank and Perle. His mother died last Monday.
