Birth: September 25, 1860
Death: September 10, 1886

Mina died at her home near Newkirk, Friday, September 10, at 11:30 p.m. Mina, beloved wife of Joseph Hyink aged 25 years, 11 mouths and 20 days. She was the daughter of Wilhem and Janna (Ver Hage) Brasser.

Mr. and Mrs. Hyink came to this county four years ago from Milwaukee. One great reason for their coming was the rapidly failing health of Mrs. Hyink.

Since that time the deceased improved somewhat, but never fully regained her health.

During her residence in Sioux County, Mrs. Hyink made a host of friends who deeply mourn her death.

She leaves one child. The funeral was held in the Holland Reformed Church at Newkirk, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. A large number of people attended and an impressive funeral sermon was delivered by Reverend Dykstra.
