Cornie Huyser was born on August 16th, 1918, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huyser, at Lynnville, Iowa. On February 20th, 1941 he was united in marriage with Mary Gaalswyk. To this union eight children were born.

He attended school at Lynnville, Iowa and moved to Lyon County at the age of twelve. He farmed in the Inwood area all his life. He was stricken at Larchwood, Iowa and was taken to Canton-Inwood Hospital. After a measure of improvement, he was suddenly stricken with a massive heart attack on Wednesday evening and passed from this life at 6:30 P.M. He reached the age of 57 years--9 months and 17 days.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Mary, 3 sons, Henry, Arie, and Alvin of Inwood, four daughters, Henrietta, (Mrs. John Vanden Brink) of Sioux Center, Iowa, Bertha (Mrs. Gary Riphagen) of Doon, Iowa, and Betty (Mrs. Henry Wolfswinkel) of Rock Valley, Iowa and Carolyn of Inwood, nine grandchildren, and two brothers, Raymond Huyser of Rock Valley, Iowa, John Huyser of Rock Rapids, Iowa, two sisters, Stella (Mrs. John Van Veldhuizen) of Doon, Iowa, Freda (Mrs. Jake H. Van Voorst) of Inwood, Iowa. Many relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huyser, and one son, Marvin on June 7th, 1970.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Rock Valley, Iowa.

Burial was at Rock Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Van Voorst and Joel Kooima (Honorary), John Huyser Jr., Robert Huyser, William Van Veldhuizen, Stanley Gaalswyk, Dennis Gaalswyk and Marvin Faber.
