Died: April 21, 2008Steven Paul Baker of Hawarden, died on Monday, April 21, 2008 at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden assisted the family with the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.
Steven Paul Baker was born February 2, 1956 in Le Mars, the son of Warren and Marvis (Rexroat) Baker. He graduated from West High School in 1974 and attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.
He married Deborah Maatman on July 12, 1986 at Sioux Center. Together they made their home in Hawarden. Steven farmed in the Hawarden area. Deborah died on August 5, 1999.
Steven is survived by his sons, Sam and Dale; his siblings: Joan Hayes and her husband Grant of Warner Robins, Georgia, Dan Baker and his wife Debbie of Ireton, and Kristy Dullard and her husband Dan of Milton, Wisconsin; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah; his parents; and a brother, David.
