From the Alton Democrat, March 27, 1925, Rock Valley news:

The five months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Baker, who live east of town, died Saturday. The funeral was held Monday from the First Reformed church. The parents have the sympathy of a host of friends.

No record of his death was found in the Rock Valley Bee online.

His death certificate has Bernard Bakker, born Nov. 5, 1924 in Rock Valley; parents Garret Bakker and Fannie DeLeewen, both born in Holland; died March 20, 1925 at 1 p.m. of ileocolitis, duration 1 month 14 days.
