Hospers Funeral For C. (Clemens) Freking
Funeral Mass and Services for Clemens H. Freking , 61, here held in St. Anthony's Church at Hospers Wednesday morning. May 25. Rev. John Thoennisson officiated. Rev. R. Vogl from Loras College and Rev. K. Ryan from Immaculate Conception Academy in Dubuque were present in the sanctuary. Six nephews served as the pall bearers : Herman Freking Jr.. Lawrence Freking, Andrew Schwarz, Leon Schwartz, Gerald Meyer and James Baumann. Mass servers were Merlin Theis, Paul Jungers, and Vincent Stoll.

Mr. Freking was born July 22, 1893 in Cincinnati, Ohio. A few years later the family moved to LeMars. He was married to Edna Healy at Marcus, April 20, 1926. Since then they have farmed near Hospers.

Survivors are his wife, five daughters and one son: Sister Mary Edwardine O.S.F. of Dubuque, Mrs. Bernard (Catherine) Portz of Hospers, Sister Mary Alvina, O.S.F. of Dubuque, Marie and Louise at home, and Leo, a student at Loras College. There are also two brothers, Herman of LeMars a n d Joseph of Remsen; a n d two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Schwartz of Granville and Mrs. Henry Schwartz of Le Mars.
