Fred Wyman Forsberg, age 81 of Spring Lake Park, MN, died on Mon. Sept. 26, 2016.
Fred was born Dec. 18 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa. He lived in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska and Wisconsin as a child and in Minnesota most of his adult life.
Fred was a graduate of Le Mars Central High School, Le Mars IA and Iowa State University ini Ames, IA. He served in the U.S. Army for three years mostly in Weisbaden, Germany. He was employed by Control Data Corporation for 29 years.
Fred was a poet, a Minnesota Jaycees Gold Key recipient, and an active member of Fridley United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Kammlade) formerly Boyden. and four sons and four grandchildren Michael and granddaughters Olivia and Lauren; Scott and wife Donna Glazer and grandson Benjamin; Brian and Daniel and grandson Sawyer as well as many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton M. Forsberg and Pearl Harrison Forsberg Redding and young sister RaeJean Forsberg.
