Mrs. Nic Gergen Dies At Granville
Funeral services for Mrs. Nic Gergen, 44, were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Granville, Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock. Rev. N. J. Becker Officiated. She passed away Thursday in the Sioux Valley hospital, Cherokee, following a lingering illness.

Bernadette Nilles was born Dec. 12, 1920 at Remsen, where she attended school. On June 14, 1939,. she was married to Nic Gergen at St. Mary's Church, Remsen. They farmed northeast of Granville.

She is survived by the widower, 3 daughters, Bonnie at home, (Mary Kay) Mrs. Ed Harms of Wichita, Kan., (Janet) Mrs. Tony Pottebaum Jr. of Granville; two sons. Dale of Granville, Donald in the Navy; her mother, Mrs. Dominic Nilles of Remsen; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Harpenau, Miss Lucille Nilles of Remsen, Mrs. Ray Meis of Granville, one brother, Francis Nilles of Remsen; also 5 grandchildren.

Rosary was recited at Spalding Hall, Granville, Monday evening. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery, Granville
