There will be a funeral service on Thursday, July 13, at 10:30am, at the New Hope Evangelical Free Church in Orange City. The Rev. Nick Koenig will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation will be after 4:00pm on Wednesday, with the family present from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the CHURCH.

Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Todd was born on September 20, 1963, in Sioux Center, the son of Calvin and Henrietta Wilma (Huitink) Mouw. He was first raised at Sioux Center, and then when he was in elementary school, the family moved to Orange City. Except for two years in California, he has since made his home in Orange City.

In early July of 1985, he was involved in an automobile accident, which left him a quadriplegic. However, with the help of others, he still kept an active lifestyle for the next 32 years.

On September 11, 2010, he married Cyndra Kaye Bonestroo Bruxvoort in Orange City.

Todd was a member of the New Hope Evangelical Free Church. He inherited the Mouw family talent for cooking and shared it through his “cooking ministry”.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially cookouts and bon fires with his wife, family and friends at Sunset Ranch. He had a passion for horses, both training and working with them.

Survivors include his wife, Cyndi; two step-children, Emily, and her husband, Cameron Vande Weerd, of Hospers; and Jesse Bruxvoort, of Orange City; three brothers and four sisters, Barbara (husband, Rick) Kreykes, of Sioux Center; Yvonne (husband, Dave) Whitaker, of Lake Elmo, Minnesota; Catherine Lynn (partner, Thomas Johnson), of Princeton, Minnesota; Monty (friend, Jean Hooley) Mouw, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; Scott (wife, Lois) Mouw, of Sioux Center; Kristin (Rod) De Jong, of Yorba Linda, California; and Tim (SueAnn) Mouw, of Brookings, South Dakota; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Wilma Mouw.
