Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church in Minneapolis Wednesday for Arie C. Huisman, 59, father of Mrs. Herman Van Donge of rural Sioux Center, who died suddenly at her home of his daughter here Monday of a heart ailment.

He had been visiting here for a few days and was about to return to his home in Minneapolis when he was stricken.

Funeral services were conducted by the Reverend Dick Aardsma and burial was made in the Pella Cemetery.

Mr. Huisman was born February 22, 1908, in the Netherlands. He came to the U.S. as a young man and married Alice Booy on October 15, 1923, at Pella. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Rietveld of Pella, Mrs. Herman Van Donge of Sioux Center, Miss Joyce Huisman of Minneapolis and Mrs. Arlo Beyers of Pella; three sons, Norman of Racine, Wisconsin, and Dwayne and Ronald of Minneapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Case Vonk of Reasnor, Mrs. Peter Kelderman of Lansing, Illinois, and Mrs. Ted Trent of Escondido, California; and two brothers, Ralph and Marion of Marshalltown, Iowa.

Funeral arrangements here were handled by Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.
