Claus Hinrich Reyelts was born August 6th, 1858, in Cadenberge Hanover, Germany. He was baptized
and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and was a true believer to his end. As he was one of a large
family, he had to earn his own Living from early age. Hhe was married to Miss Maria Meyer, and this marriage proved to be a very happy one. Six children were born, one of them passing to the great beyond in early childhood .

In March 1890 Mr. Reyelts and his family immigrated to this country. The first eight years he lived on a farm in Lyon County and then in Sioux County, until his death. He was very prosperous in his farm work. He always enjoyed good health until the spring of 1925 when he began to have stomach trouble, which afterwards turned out to be cancer of the stomach.

He bore his ailment with Christian patience and his only desire in his last weeks was to go to the
Lord, whom he loved. On Tuesday, May 25th, the Lord heard his prayers and called him home.
Those who mourn him are his widow, his five children, eight grandchildren, one brother and one
sister in Germany, and many relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon, in the SI John's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Wm
Baetke, officiating, and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery. The Reporter extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved widow and family.
