Graveside services were held here Thursday for Jimmy Hooyer, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hooyer of Arko, Minnesota, who lost his life on a farm accident on Monday.

Jimmy and his 19 year old brother, Larry, spent the morning picking up rocks in the pasture and enroute home for dinner. Jimmy was riding on the manure scoop, when the scoop accidentally caused a load of rocks to fall on him. He was instantly killed.

Survivors besides the parents and brother include two sisters, Sharon and Loretta, and the two grandmothers, Mrs. Teunis Hooyer and Mrs. William De Boer, both of Carmel.

Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran Church at Arko and he was laid to rest at Sioux Center Cemetery.
