Mr. Isaac W. Finch was buried OH Friday, the 5th , at 2 p. m. He was well known in this part of the county and well thought of by. all who knew him. He filled the office of secretary of the school board in this township when he died, and also justice of the peace.

He was in his 67th year. Disease, pneumonia of the lungs. Two sons and two daughters, as well as many friends, mourn for him. Service in the church, conducted by Kev. Clifton.

Note: in an ancestry.com report (by others) Isaac Kinney Finch born 7 Oct 1819 Hamilton Indiana died 4 Feb 1886 Boyden IA. He was the son of Abraham Wheeler Finch 1794-1861 and Charity Woodworth 1796-1878. Wife was Helen Catherine Essington 1824-1863. Married 4 Jun 1845 Wayne Hamilton IN. Among their children was July Ann Finch 1850-1932. In 1880 census children were John N. 19, and Helen C. 17. 1860 census of Fillmore MN , Catharine was alive age 36 children were Julia 11, Emmett P. 6 and Charity 1.
