Final Rites Held For Peter "Pieter" Hopman, Retired Carpenter

Funeral services were conducted January 17, at the Van Etten Funeral Home for Peter Hopman, 77, retired carpenter, who died at Grossmann hospital January 14. Reverend Leroy Nattress officiated.

Mr. Hopman was found on the sidewalk about a half-block from his home Friday evening. He apparently had suffered a stroke.

He was born in The Netherlands to Jan and Ariaatje (Pronk) Hopman December 23, 1878.

Survivors include a niece, Frances Eason of Algona, and a nephew, John Slikkerveer of Akron, Ohio. Both attended the funeral.

Mr. Hopman was buried in the Orange City City Cemetery.
