After a ten days illness, Mrs. Henry Hoogterp died at her home here Thursday evening. About a week ago Sadie had a stroke of appoplexy and afterwards other complications set in and she never rallied.

Sadie Katsma was born May, 1864 in The Netherlands. She married Henry Hoogterp in 1884. They had five children: Fred, Broer, Kate, Johannas, and Rae. Sadie died in 1905.

The funeral was held from the Presbyterian Church and interment was made in the Hospers Cemetery.

She leaves a husband, Henry; and five children the oldest being eighteen and the youngest six.
