Relatives here received the sad message that Mrs. Hattie Fields of Sioux Falls, SD had passed away as the result of a stroke. Funeral services were held Tuesday with burial in Hope cemetery at Hull. Surviving are a son Dwayne Pierson by a previous marriage and one brother Willis Steffen. Mrs. Field was born and grew to womanhood in Hull. Her many friends here will remember her as Hattie Steffen.

Note: Hattie was the daughter of Albert F. Steffen born Nov 1862 Pommern, Germany died 1944 Hull IA and Emma Schoenmann 1865 – 1848. Their children were Ferdinand William 1886-1950. Hattie 1890-1959 and Willis 1903 - .
In the 1920 census of Sioux Falls SD, Hattie was the wife of Fredell E. Field born 1867 NH, Hattie born 1891 Iowa and her son Duane Pierson age 5 born IA abt 1915.
