William Hoogschagen, well known to nearly all the people of Hull and vicinity passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bert Kroon, west of Perkins, last Friday. He had not been feeling to well for some time, but was not considered in a dangerous condition. His passing was the result of some kind of stroke.

Mr. Hoogschagen came to this vicinity many years ago, and was a farmer west of Perkins for several years before moving to Hull. He was born in the Netherlands sixty-six years ago and came to America at the age of eighteen years. He was married to Miss Johanna Kruit and to this union two children were born: Mrs. Fred Eisinga and Mrs. Bert Kroon, both living just west of Perkins. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Bert Kroon home conducted by Reverend G.H. Douwstra, and the remains were laid to rest in Hope Cemetery here.
