Joseph Homan, 65, died suddenly on Wednesday morning of a heart attack. Mr. Homan was born in Alton and lived in this vicinity all his life.

He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Schroeder of Alton. Four children were born to the couple all of whom survive with his wife. They are Leonard of Sioux City, Carl of Alton, Mrs. James Marshall (Nee Anna Marie) of Pasadena, California and Gerald of Sioux City.

There are eight grandchildren and three brothers and three sisters who are Frank of Milwaukee; Ben of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Mrs. Joe Mousel of Le Mars; Chas A. of Slayton and Misses Hilda and Sylvia of Alton.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at St. Mary’s Church.
