Faber, Raymond born 30 Aug 1899 died 15 Jun 1981 on same headstone with Collette, buried in St. Mary’s cemetery Alton IA, as listed on the headstone index of the Sioux County cemetery index.

Raymond M. Faber, age 81, of Alton passed away Monday, June 15, at the Heritage House in Orange City, after a long illness. Raymond Michael Faber was born Aug. 30, 1899, at Remsen, the son of Frank Faber and Anna Nothem Faber. On June 6, 1927, he married Collette C. Sauer at Alton. They lived in Chicago, IL., where Mr. Faber was head of the paying tellers at the First National Bank. In 1963, he retired from the bank, and they moved to Alton, where Mr. Faber was secretary-treasurer
of St. Mary's Catholic Church for eight years and executive secretary of the Alton Chamber of Commerce for several years. He entered the Heritage House in Novemeber of 1980.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Raymond, Jr., of Chicago; Dr. Frank, and Rodney, both of
Glen View, IL.; seven grandchildren; brother, Milton, of Sun City, Ariz.; and three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Sylvia) Webb, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Leslie (Vernie) Peters, of Remsen; and Mrs. Don (Romaine)Herr of Marcus. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Lester.

Mr. Faber was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, where a funeral mass was held
Thursday, June 18. Celebrants were the Rev. Frs. David Hogan, Mervin Hood, and Bruce LeFebvre. Interment followed at the parish cemetery, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
