Funeral services for Frank P. Homan of 4433 North Woodburn Street, Shorewood, Milwaukee, were held Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton with burial in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Homan died at his home June 10 after an illness of three months, at the age of 75 years and one week.

He was born May 26, 1887 at Alton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Homan Sr. and was married January 31, 1911 to Sophia Schroeder, who preceded him in death May 4, 1959. Three children were born to the union: Vernon and Helen of Milwaukee and Lt. Ray, who was killed in action in World War II.

Mr. Homan graduated from the university of Iowa Pharmacy School in 1908 and practiced in Alton and at Wind, North Dakota, then had his own drug store in Mandan, North Dakota from 1920 to 1934. He then became a salesman of religious candles and lived in Milwaukee for the last 28 years. While living in Mandan he was district deputy of the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are the son, Vernon, Wauwatosa; and daughter Helen, Shorewood; a brother, Charles, Slayton, Minnesota; and three sisters, Mrs. Celeste Mousel, Le Mars; Misses Hilda and Sylvia Homan, of Alton; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lois Homan, Denver, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Gerald Homan, Milwaukee; Jon Homan, Denver.

Vernon Homan was unable to be at the funeral of his father, being confined to a hospital with illness.

Wienhold, Pocahontas, Leland Mousel, Lou Homan, Pete Homan, Margaret Arens, Remsen.
