Mrs. Gerrit Hollinga funeral services held Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Van Etten Funeral Parlors for Mrs. Gerrit Hollinga, 76, who passed away at the local hospital after an illness of 21 months.

Frank Popma, Franklin De Haan, Robert Newendorp and Ray Van Pelt were pallbearers.

Grada Bertha Yalink was born in the Netherlands December 14 1889, and came to the United States May 1921. She married Geert Hollinga. They were the parents of two children.

Survivors are two children, Lambert of Orange City and Mrs. E.E. Miller of Fallbrook, California; one brother, Geert Yalink of the Netherlands; one sister, Mrs. Jan Visser of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hollinga was well known as a flower lover and grower, highly skilled seamstress and of her hand knitted creations.

Reverend Raymond Van Heukelom conducted services, with burial being made in the Westlawn Cemetery.
