Services for Mrs. Anna Smidt, 93, formerly of 3704 Fifty-sixth Street, who died Thursday at Lutheran Nursing Home in Madrid, will be at 10 A.M. Monday at Sundberg Funeral Home in Madrid, with burial at an Orange City Cemetery.

A native of Orange City, born on May 7, 1881, a daughter of Jacobus and Jeltje (Wynia) Hollander, she had resided there and in Boyden before moving to Des Moines more than 50 years ago. She was a graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City. She was married to Sieme “Simon” Smidt, He passed away in 1918.

Survivors include one son, John H. of Urbandale; one daughter, Mrs. Rosella Christianson of Slater; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
