Chris Hollander Dead

The news of the death of Chris Hollander, one of the old settlers of this vicinity, reached this office last week just too late for that issue.

He died Tuesday evening, February 25th, 1919, at the hospital at Rochester, Minnesota, where he had gone on advice of the doctors, his death being duo to a complication of cancer of the stomach and bronchi pneumonia.

The remains were brought to Hull and the funeral was held last Tuesday, with services at the home, church and cemetery of St. Paul's Lutheran congregation, of which Mr. Hollander had been a faithful member for many years. Reverend P.J. Bunge officiating.

Mr. Hollander was born in Germany August 4th, 1859. He came to this country in March 1883.

On March 11th 1885 he was married to Misa Margaretha Schuett.

To this union 5 children were born who with their mother survive him, the children being Mrs. Kathe Schoenemann, John Hollander, Mrs. Emma Schoenemann, William Hollander and Fred Hollander.
