Death: September 18, 1962Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Van Etten Funeral Home for Daryl Jay Hofmeyer, the 3-week old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Hofmeyer of Orange City.
The child underwent surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Sioux City, September 13 and failed to rally from the effects of the operation. He passed away Tuesday evening at 0:30.
Officiating at the funeral and graveside services was the Reverend Harlan Roelofs, pastor of the Second Christian Reformed Church. He was laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City, Sioux County, Iowa.
The Hofmeyers have a son, Jerry, two years old.
