From the Boyden Reporter, January 10, 1924:

A baby was born to Dr. and Mrs. Bolstad on Tuesday [January 8]. The child died about two hours after birth, and interment was made in the Boyden cemetery. Dr. W. T. McConnell officiated at the funeral service.

The Alton Democrat, January 12, 1924, Boyden news includes a note on the baby's death that may provide additional information, but the digital copy is too blurred at the bottom to be legible.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Bolstad, Ivor, d. 1924, inf son of H. A. & H. R., Sheridan Twp Cem Boyden, IA. This is probably the newborn who died January 8.
