Friends of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hoeven were made sorrowful on learning the death of their on, Benjamin Allison Hoeven, who passed away at 9 o’clock Thursday morning, December 4. Funeral services will be held at thee First Reformed Church on Friday afternoon and interment will be in Roseland, Cemetery. Reverend B.R. Van Zyl will have charge of the services.

Benjamin Allison Hoeven was born at Orange City, Iowa, on January 1, 1906, and was nearly 14 years of age at the time of his sad death. Seven years ago he came to Sanborn with his parents and had since lived here. He attended the public school and was well liked by both teachers and companions.

He was taken ill Tuesday evening and on Wednesday the case pronounced cerebro-spinal meningitis. All the medical skill and loving hands and hearts could do was of no avail and he died as above stated.

There remain to mourn his untimely death were his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Mr. and Mrs. Hoeven and family have the heartfelt sympathy of all their friends in their sorrow.
