From the Alton Democrat, December 29, 1923, Boyden news:

Peter Meyn, the oldest son of Mrs. Adam Kwikkel, died at the farm home Sunday evening of an illness which has extended over a period of about two years. He and his twin brothers have been farming the home place and batching. While gradually failing, it was not known that his condition was serious until Friday morning when the doctor was summoned but pronounced the case very serious, he grew gradually worse and passed away Sunday eve. The remains were laid to rest beside his father in the German cemetery on Thursday afternoon. Rev. Baetke conducted the services from the home at 1:30 o'clock.

His death certificate on Ancestry.com gives his full name as Peter Klaas Meyn; born Dec. 11, 1898 in Iowa; parents John Peter Meyn and Anna Warnke, both born in Germany; cause of death uremia, contributory factor nephritis.

Entries in the record books of St. John's Church, Boyden, in the U.S. Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (Ancestry.com) give his full name as Peter Claus Meyn.
