From the Rock Valley Bee, November 30, 1923:

Henry Baker, a former well known resident of Rock Valley vicinity, for twenty-five years or more, died at his home at Valley Springs, South Dakota, last Friday night from a stroke of paralysis. The remains were brought to Rock Valley for funeral services which were held in the Christian Reformed Church.

Mr. Baker lived in this vicinity continuously for many years and was well known and had many friends here. He leaves his wife and a large family of grown-up children. Further particulars are not available at this time.

Wife Antje Kooima Baker (1868-1943). Children Tena Baker Vandenberg (1894-1984), Jacob Baker (1895-1967), Jennie Bakker De Wit (1896-1971), Lena Baker Bouma (1897-1986), Sam Baker (1903-1991), Joe Baker (1905-1987), and John H. Baker (1907-1998).

Note: He was married to Antje (Kooima) Baker.
