Mrs. R. Richters dies; Services set for today

Funeral services for Mrs. Richard Richters, 26, who died Sunday at an Iowa City hospital, will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Vander Ploeg funeral home and 2 p.m. at the Netherlands Reformed church.

Rev. John Van Zweden will officiate and burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marion Van Beek, Gerard Van Beek, Albert Van Beek, Egbert Van Beek, Albert Van Grootheest and Gerrit Van Grootheest.

Mrs. Richters (nee Evelyn Van Beek) was born April 29, 1934, in Rock Valley.

Survivors include the widower; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Van Beek of Rock Valley; seven sisters, (Gertrude), Mrs. Tonia Rozeboom, (Tracy), Mrs. Carl Dieters, (Lorraine) Mrs. Gilbert Hoogendoom, (Geneva) Mrs. Gerrit Klarenbeek and Reva, Janet and Viola at home; six brothers, Albert of Artesia, Calif., Anthony of Elkton, S.D., Gary and Marvin of Rock Valley and Junior and Howard at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Beek of Sioux Center and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rus of Sioux Center.
One brother, John, preceded her in death in 1947.
