Klaas Holwerda, Doon resident, dies

Funeral services for Klaas Holwerda, 74, of Doon were held Saturday afternoon in the Doon Christian Reformed church; Rev. Clarence Vander Plate officiated, and burial was in the Doon cemetery.

Pallbearers were Henry Kelderman, Frank Dykstra, Pete Hoekstra, Nick Gorter, Jasper Gort and Peter Zwaan.

Mr. Holwerda died in the Sioux Center rest home April 27, after a long illness. He was born in The Netherlands Nov 8, 1885 the son of Herman Holwerda and Putje Terpstra. He came to the United Stales in 1921. He married Minke Reitsma Jan 26, 1918.

Survivors include ; his widow, one daughter (Pearl) Mrs. Floyd Dykstra of Grand Rapids, Mich. , and two sons, Herman and Clarence both of Doon.
