Died: March 1, 1972Gerrit Hibma, 56, of Rock Valley, died Wednesday, March 1 at the Valley Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 4, in the First Reformed Church of Orange City. The Van Etten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hibma was born on May 23, 1885, in Holland, The Netherlands. He farmed in the Maurice, Iowa area before retiring to the Christian Retirement Home at Sheldon. He moved to Valley Manor at Rock Valley on September 17, 1968.
He is survived by nephews and nieces.
