Henry Lieb, formerly of this place, but who has had his residence at Teko Washington the past four years, passed away at his home there on the 11th of this month. Henry Lieb is the eldest brother of O. J. Lieb of this place and will be remembered by most of Alton's older residents having been engaged in the furniture business here, was at different times a druggist, postmaster and mayor of our town. Mr. Lieb left Alton nine years ago for Kansas where he lived five years and from there the family moved to Washington where they now live. The deceased is survived by his widow and six children, 3 boys and 3 girls. The sympathy of many friends in this vicinity is extended to the bereaved.
