Nelson Brower dies
Nelson Brower, 69, of 34 Northcrest Drive died Saturday morning, September 2 at the local hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Sept. 4 at the Nassau Township Cemetery of Alton. Rev. Clarence Greving, Pastor of the First Reformed Church of Alton, officiated.

Brower was born in Hull, and lived in Alton until 1958. Twenty years ago, he moved to Sioux City, and he
moved to Council Bluffs this past July. He was a member of Alton's First Reformed Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Carole La Vonnie Klein of Houston, Texas; DeLoria Fahl of Council Bluffs; and Nancy Brower of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren; three brothers; and five sisters.

Note: Nelson Brower was born 9 Oct 1908 Lincoln Tsp Sioux County IA to William Brouwer and Jennie Pietens. He was married for some time to Glayds VanLaar.
