Funeral of Mrs. Wintermantel Largely Attended

The American Reformed church, from which the funeral of Mrs. Jacob Wintermantel was held last week Thursday, was filled to capacity with neighbors and friends who loved the kindly old lady.
Rev. Arthur Schultz of Merrill preached the funeral sermon. Several appropriate numbers were sung by the choir and an opportunity to view the remains was given at the close of the service. The floral tributes were most beautiful. The pall bearers were Messrs. Reimann, Mayer, Sullivan, Wagener, Anderson and Bell.

OBITUARY
Amelia Johanne Wintermantel, daughter of Frederick and Matilda Buttke, was born at Posen, Germany, May 23, 1863. At the age of nine years she emigrated with her parents to America, locating at Boaz, Wisconsin. On March 17, 1886 she was united in marriage to Jacob Wintermantel at Baraboo, Wisconsin. To this union were born two sons: Arthur Benjamin, who passed away when four months of age, and Emmett Archie who resides at Hull. Besides the husband and son and wife she is also survived by five grand-children. Mr. and Mrs. Wintermantel came to Hull on June 1, 1888.
Mrs. Wintermantel was one of a family of seven children. The following still survive. Mr. Carl Buttke of Gotham, Wisconsin; Mrs. Alvena Ripley of Mirror, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Amanda Hahn of Templeton, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Anna Rombough of Spirit Lake, Iowa.
Mrs. Wintermantel was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mrs. Wintermantel passed away Monday afternoon at 6:45.

(Amelia, also spelled Emile, died February 1, 1931 and was buried at Hope Cemetery in Hull, IA.)
