Bert Bruinsma Funeral 10:00 Here Today
Funeral services will be held at Central Reformed church here at. 10 a.m. today (Thursday) for Bert Bruinsma, 48, employee of Brommer Truck Line here for 18 years, who died suddenly and unexpectedly
of a heart attack about 2:45 p. m. Monday while helping unload freight at the rear of the Western Auto Store.

He had just carried in a small box of merchandise and was returning to the truck, with Don Brommer beside him, when he suddenly heaved a long sigh and slumped to the ground. Dr. Carl Oelrich pronounced him dead when he arrived at the scene a few minutes later.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Albert Ten Clay and burial will be made in the Sioux Center Community cemetery with, Vander Ploeg's Funeral home in charge of arrangements. A brief service attended by immediate members of the family, will be held at the Vander Ploeg Funeral chapel at 9:30 p.m. Pallbearers are Donald Brommer, Lester Brommer, Herbert Kuyper, Stanley Altena, Nelton Doornink and Gerrit Van Engen.

Mr. Bruinsma was born in Sioux Center July 10, 1918, and resided here all his life. He was married
to Dorothy Addink on December 22, 1948. Survivors besides his wife include two children, Darryl and Barbara, both of Sioux Center, and the following brothers and sisters, Dick Bruinsma of Estelline SD, Elsie Mrs. Ed G. Mouw, Lane Bruinsma, Lena Mrs. Gerrit Van Putten, Sam and Reynold Bruinsma. He is also survived by three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe on Jan 21, 1961, and Sam on July 7 1908.
