MISS ANN. M. SANDSCHULTE

Funeral services were held April 23 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Rock Valley for Miss Ann M. Sandschulte, 77, of Rock Valley, who died at the Rock Valley hospital April 20 following a long illness. Services were conducted by the Rev. Richard E. Zenk and burial was made in the church parish at Rock Valley.

Miss Sandschulte was born at Rock Valley July 19, 1892. She served as an army nurse during World War I.

Survivors include a brother, L. C. Sandschulte of Downey, Calif., and two sisters, Miss Elizabeth and Miss Josephine Sandschulte, both of Rock Valley.

A. Sandschutte Dies Here Mon.

Anne Sandschutte, 71, of Rock Valley, died Monday, Aril 20, at Hegg Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Thursday (today) April 23, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. Richard E. Zenk officiating. Rosary was recited Wednesday, April 22 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Paul Beumer, Emmett Scanlon, Walter McNamara, Hein Kosters, William Rielly and Clarence Keegan. Burial was in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.

Miss Sandschulte was born in Rock Valley on July 19, 1892. She lived in this area all her life except for nurses training at St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City and while being a nurse in World War I.

Survivors are a brother, L. C. of Downey, Calif., [and] two sisters, Elizabeth and Josephine of Rock Valley.

The correct spelling of the surname is Sandschulte.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Sandschulte, Ann M., b. 19 Jul 1892, d. 20 Apr 1970, IA WWI Army Nurse Corp, St Marys Cem Rock Valley IA.

She was the daughter of Barney Sandschulte and Mary Tarp. See their obituaries, posted separately.
