P. H. Kooyman, for many years a resident of this place, died at his home at Lynden Washington last Saturday. Deceased was fifty-four years of age and for some months past had been afflicted with heart trouble. About a year ago the family moved from here to the west. Deceased leaves a mother, wife and four children to mourn his departure besides numerous friends. The funeral was held on Monday, interment taking place at Lynden.
