Hawarden Independent September 24, 1936

Betty Winter, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Winter of Rock Rapids, died Sept. 13th from lock jaw. She suffered a slight scratch on her knee and blood poisoning developed which later brought on lock jaw. Besides her parents, Betty is survived by three sisters and one brother.
