Final Rites Held For Mrs. Hellwig,49

Final rites for Mrs. Viola Hellwig who died at Alton, Monday, Sept 15, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept 18.

She had been housekeeper for Mrs. Susan Noethe at Alton, for the past seven
months. She died of a heart attack while watching television.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Edward David Hoffman and burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. Hellwig was 49 years old and had made her home with her aged mother and sister for several years.

Mrs. Hellwig was born August 7, 1909, at Rock Rapids.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Mary Flanagan of Rock Valley, two daughters, Sharon, a freshman at Mount Marty College, Yankton, S. D. and (Kathleen), Mrs. Stanley Hauser, a graduate nurse employed in Brookings, S. D., while her husband attends college there; four sisters, Mrs. John Cullinan and Bertha Flanagan of Rock Valley; Mrs. William Barry of Hoyt Lake, Minn.; and Mrs Earl Lape of Fort Dodge; four brothers, James and Earl Flanagan of Rock Rapids; Walter Flanagan of Garretson, S.D. and Clarence Flanagan of Jasper, Minn.

Pallbearers., were Joe Hevern, Claire Barry, William Ver Mulm, Paul Van Arb, Ralph Hauser, and Martin Cullinan.
