Mrs. Cornelia Vander Sanden

Mrs. Cornelia Van der Sanden, wife of Henry VanderSanden, passed away at her home seven miles northwest of Rock Valley last Saturday after a lingering illness of several months duration, her death being due to cancer.

Mrs. VanderSanden was born in Holland, March 24, 1871, and had attained the age of fifty-one years, seven months and fifteen days. She came with her husband and children to this country in 1908, and settled near Sioux Center, later moving onto a farm northwest of Rock Valley.

Besides her husband, she leaves nine children, five sons and four daughters, all of whom are living at home with their father.

Funeral services were held from the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley Tuesday afternoon and the remains were taken to Valley View Cemetery for burial.

Mrs. VanderSanden was a kind and affectionate wife and mother, and her untimely death is a great sorrow to the bereaved husband and children, who have the sincere sympathy of many frinds.
