April 20th 1928 Alton Democrat.
Bev. G. H. Douwstra conducted the funeral services of Mr. Brouwer at Boyden last Thursday. Bev. Wm. Verhil returned from Grand Rapids, Mich. Thursday where he had been called by illness of relatives

The funeral services of Marie Brouwer were held at the Dutch Reformed Church last Wednesday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Boyden Cemetery.
Mrs. Brouwer passed away Sunday night after an illness of many weeks. She was married to Molleurus Brouwer

Note: According to a family report on ancestry.com she was Marie Tesman 1876-1919. They may have been the parents of Jacob Brouwer 1900-1997. Molleurus Brouwer was born 24 Oct 1873 Workum Friesland Neth. Died 16 Apr 1928 buried Sheridan Township Cemetery Boyden IA.
In the April 13th 1928 issue of the Alton Democrat under Boyden news, it was mentioned that Mr. Brouwer was ill and not able to summon help for several days and by the time help came he was not expected to live.

According to the site wiewaswie.nl Mollenurus Brouwer was born 24 Oct 1873 at Workum Friesland to Jacob Brouwer and Baakje Van der Meer. He was married at 25 years to Marij Tiesma 22 born Dedgum Friesland, on March 6, 1899.
