Funeral services held March 24 for G. Hasselo, 88.

Funeral services for Gerrit Hasselo, 88, who died Monday in the local hospital after a long illness, was held at 1:30 Wednesday, March 24, at the Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Burial was made in the Sioux Center Cemetery under the direction of Van Etten Funeral Home.

Mr. Hasselo was born November 24, 1876 in Cleveland, Ohio, and came to Sioux Center in 1909. He ran a grocery business there for several years.

Mrs. Altje "Alice" (Postma) Hasselo died in February of 1956, and since then he had lived with a son, Anthony of Orange City.

Survivors besides the son Anthony include a son, Raymond of Minot, North Dakota, one brother, Marine of Cleveland, Ohio; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
