Mrs. J. Den Hartog Called By Death
Mrs. John Den Hartog, 74, of Hospers died Sunday in the hospital at Orange City after a long illness.

Mrs. Den Hartog, the former Hatltie Dorsman. was born Jan. 11, 1890 at Alton. She was married to Abe Brinkhuis Jan. 4, 1929 at Alton. Mr. Brinkhuis died Jan. 20, 1954. She was married to John Den Hartog Feb. 2. 1960 at Rock Valley and the couple moved to Hospers last year.

Survivors include her husband: 3 daughters, Mrs. Harry Terpstra of Brooten, Minn., Mrs. John Sandbulte, Edgerton, Minn., and Mrs. Richard Van Surksum, Alvord; 2 sons, Abe Brinkhuis, Sioux Falls and Rev. James Brinkhuis, Westfield, N. D.; 7 stepdaughters, Mrs. A. Van Roekel. Alvord, Mrs. J. Zwagerman, Belgrade, Minn., Mrs. J. Van Koten. Bellflower, Calif., Mrs. Bert Van Kley, Allendorf, Mrs. Wm. Grotenhuis, Hospers, Mrs. R. Dekker, Salt Lake City, Mrs. James Bruss, Cokato, Minn.; 6 stepsons, Alvin Den Hartog, Boyden, Francis Den Hartog, Modesto, Calif., R. Den Hartog, Holland. Mich., H. Den Hartog, Bellflower, Rev. D. Den Hartog, Standale, Mich., John Den Hartog Jr. of Hospers; two brothers, four sisters, 22 grandchildren and 36 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church, Hospers.
