Mrs. Alfred (Iola) Hansen, 56, of Granville, died Friday, April 30, at Marion Health Center, St. Joseph unit after a brief illness.

Services were Monday, May 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Reverend Francis J. Nemmers officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mrs. Hansen, the former Iola Beheim, was born July 27, 1925, in Le Mars. She was reared and educated in the Le Mars area. She graduated from Le Mars Central High School and taught school in the Struble area.

She married Alfred Hansen February 13, 1947 in Le Mars. They lived and farmed near Granville. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Church Guild, St. Joseph’s Ladies Choir and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Paul of Sioux City and Virgil of Granville; three daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Susan) Brinkman of Lexington, Kentucky, Mrs. Clayton (Nancy) Pyle of Hartley, and Mrs. Craig (Rita) Kruger of Paullina; and four grandchildren.
