RICHARD TEN BRAAK

Funeral services were held at the American Reformed Church in Hull July 21 for Richard Ten Braak, 46, of Hull, who died July 18 at an Omaha hospital. Services were conducted by the Rev. M. Paul Vander Woude and burial was made in Hope cemetery at Hull.

Mr. Ten Braak was born at Doon March 16, 1925. He was married to Esther Gunnink January 30, 1952 at Hull. She died December 29, 1958. On June 17, 1960, Mr. Ten Braak was married to Carol Brunsting at Boyden. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include the widow; six children, Laura, Wanda, Sandra, Kelvin, Dale and Andrew, all at home; his father, Andrew Ten Braak of Bloomington, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Christina) Ericksen of Garrison, S.D.; Mrs. Adolf (Martha) Anderson of Doon and Mrs. Robert (Jennie) Stallman of Hartley.

Services Held for Richard Ten Braak

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 21, at 1:30 o'clock, for Richard Ten Braak, 46, co-owner of C & R Repair of Hull. Services were held at the American Reformed Church of Hull, with Rev. M. Paul Vander Woude officiating. Kraai Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements and burial was at the Hope Cemetery of Hull. Pallbearers were John Anderson, Bernard Bakker, Elmer Lutjens, Dr. A. G. Dittmer, Lester Van Muyden and Delmar Stange.

Mr. Ten Braak passed away early Monday morning at the Veteran's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, following extensive treatment during the past months. The actual cause of death is pending an autopsy report. Mr. Ten Braak served as commander of the Legion Post in Hull and served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors are his wife, Carol, six children: Lora Sue, Calvin Gene, Dale Richard, Wanda Lee, Andrew Charles, Sandra Ray; his father, Andrew Ten Braak of Doon; brothers and sisters: Henry, Doon; Chris, Wichita, Kansas; (Christina) Mrs. Robert Erickson, Garritson, S.D.; (Martha) Mrs. Adolph Anderson, Doon; (Jennie) Mrs. Robert Stallman, Hartley; Andrew Marvin, Bloomington, Ill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Gunnink Ten Braak on Dec. 29, 1958.
