John Hamminga of Hospers was found dead in bed May 18th. He made his home with the Albert Alingh family there and when he failed to appear for breakfast they went upstairs to investigate and found him partly dressed and his body still warm. A physician was called at once and he said death was caused by apoplexy.

Mr. Hamminga was born in The Netherlands in 1861 but he came to America when he was 35 years old.

He is survived by four brothers and three sisters.
