DEATH CALLS MOTHER OF FIVE

Mrs. Nicolaas Hanemaayer, nee Louise Scholting, passed away at her home southwest of Orange City on Sunday morning, November 27, following a long illness.

She was 64 years and 7 months of age and was born at Almelo, The Netherlands.

She came to America in 1883 and lived first at Hospers.

In March, 1892, at Orange City she was united in marriage to Nicolaas Hanemaayer. They moved to Rock Valley but in 1900 came to Orange City to make their home.

Mrs. Hanemaayer is survived by her husband and five children, Peter, Centralia, Illinois; Bernard, Orange City; Paullina, Mrs. D.F. Costa Seward, Nebraska; and Sophia, Mrs. E. Sorgdrager, Alton. One sister, Sophia Rothe, of the Netherlands, also survives Mrs. Hanemaayer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Trinity Reformed church with Reverend J.G. Brouwer in charge.

Interment at the local cemetery. Because of feeble health, Mr. Hanemaayer was unable to attend the services.
