Ruth W. Hof, 91, of Louisville, KY, passed away on April 12, 2016 at her home.
The funeral service was held on Friday evening April 15, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, Louisville. Visitation was held prior to the funeral service. Burial followed in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Ruth, the daughter of Ring and Etta Jasper, was born and raised in Orange City. The last few years before her marriage she worked for a gas company.
She married Richard Hof on June 20, 1947, in First Christian Reformed Church by her uncle John Sjaarda.

She graduated from Northwestern Junior College in the spring of 1941.

She was retired from Nationwide Insurance Company and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Ruth was known for her adventurous spirit, kind heart, creativity, and her famous Heath Bar cake. She had a great sense of humor and mischief with an easy laugh. She loved to play cards and games and was an avid U of L basketball fan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by many.

Survivors include her husband Richard; daughters Laurie K Hof-Johnson (Walter) and Sharon Hof Spurrier (David) and three grandchildren, Lianna Joy Spurrier, Debra Rogers and David L. Spurrier.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Animal Care Society.
