Mr. Grasman, an old gentleman living with relatives two miles east of town, took sick with pneumonia early last week and passed away Thursday. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the Christian Reformed church, the Rev. Mr. Hollebeck in charge.

On Monday, Jan. 20, at the home of the groom's mother two miles east of Ireton at eoght o'clock in the evening, in the presence of relatives and friends was solemnized the marriage of Miss Anna Meyer and Fred Grasman. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. T. Meyer who live at Franeker in the Netherlands. The bride just recently came over from the Netherlands. The groom's father, S. Grasman, died only a few weeks ago. His mother, Mrs. S. Grasman, will leave for Grand Rapids, Mich., and the young couple will remain on the farm. The best wishes of the community are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Grasman.
