Funeral services for Ida (Lahn) Hamann were held Monday afternoon, February 24, at the Methodist Church with Reverend Mervin Nelson officiating. Mrs. Edward De Haas and Mrs. Paul Dean sang two numbers. Mrs. Pier Wynia was organist. Pallbearers were grandsons, Donald Miller, Lloyd Gayer, Bill Hamann, Robert Splear, Vernon Hamann and Dennis Hamann. Burial was in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Hamann died at Valley Manor Nursing Home here February 21 at the age of 91 years, one month and five days. She was born January 16, 1873 in Itzehac, Germany and came to this country in 1913. She was married to William Hamann in 1893. They settled in the Rock Valley area and farmed for many years moving in to Rock Valley around the time of the death of Mr. Harmann in 1931.

She is survived by eleven children, Max Hamann, Mrs. Anna Gayer, Greta, Mrs. Ernest Miller, Bertha, Mrs. Bernard Splear, Fred Hamann, Ted Hamann, Elsie, Mrs. Clifton Moore and Karl Hamann all of Rock Valley; William and Henry Harmann of Los Angeles, California and Minnie, Mrs. Henry Junge of Sioux City, 36 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; also two sisters, Mrs. Henry Ranschau and Mrs. John Ranschau of Rock Valley and one brother, Henry Lang of Humboldt, South Dakota.
